People can be comfortable in their misery. It's easier for them to gripe day after day than for them to take the step towards change. It's a risk; you don't know if what you'll get is better than what you have, but if you don't try, nothing will change. It's unbelievable but makes so much sense as to why people settle. Comfortability isn't as pleasurable as it sounds. Strive for more in all aspects of your life.
